Paying for Your Child’s Lunch
Lunch Money – You will need your child’s DPS student ID number to create an account through MySchoolBucks.com. Call the front office if you need your child’s number:
Free and Reduced Lunch information is available on the DPS website.
A School Food Pantry program is also available for qualifying families.
The cafeteria provides free breakfast for all students beginning at 7:45 am.
A free grab-n-go breakfast is available to Middle School students in the Middle School hallway.
Students need to be ready to go to class and leave the cafeteria by first bell at 8:10am.
Breakfast will continue to be offered at no charge to students of all grade levels. Lunch prices are listed on the DPS website at this link: http://foodservices.dpsk12.org/meal-prices.php
Any student in ECE through fifth grade who forgets or loses his/her money may charge up to $5.55. Prior to this limit being reached, a written notice will be given to the student to notify the parent/guardian. If payment for charges is not received the next school day, an alternate meal will be served. If charges are not paid after two days, a nutritious snack will be served instead of a meal. In all cases, the charges MUST be paid back.
School Food Pantry
Bill Roberts also offers a School Food Pantry program for families in need to provide supplemental food for the weekends. If you are a family in need of assistance, please contact the front office at 720-424-2640 or your child’s teacher or Principal Lea for more information. Please note that the school staff will take great care in maintaining confidentiality.
Bill Roberts has a “scratch kitchen” in which DPS cafeteria staff make all meals using raw and whole ingredients right at the school. Our cafeteria avoids pre-prepared, processed foods is an effort to provide students with the best possible nutrition. Every school day, 95% of the lunch menu is prepared from scratch and includes fresh fruits and vegetables.
Did you know?
Foodservice workers at this school are trained in Culinary Arts of Baking, Cooking and Cold Food Preparation. The kitchen staff bakes bread every day, chops fresh produce for entrees and the salad bar, and uses fresh ground beef and chicken for menu items.
