“We have been a part of the Bill Roberts community for 5 years, ECE-3 – second grade. Beyond the amazing teachers, we have an award winning library, upgraded technology to support education, lots of specials and enrichment activities, an amazing holiday outreach, a spring art show, a community 5k fund raiser, a spring carnival … just to name a few of my family’s favorite things! ”

The PTA kicks off the school year with several Direct Giving Parties as a chance to get to know the school community, share our goals and successes and raise funds to make our children’s education the best it can be.
Thank you to all of our party hosts and attendees for helping us raise $65,000 to support our incredible school each year. If you did not get a chance to attend a party this Fall, please know that you can contribute online at any time throughout the year!
Every Spring, the PTA hosts its annual fundraising auction and party. This event is the single largest fundraising event of the year with the goal of raising $75,000 for our school. Not only is the auction an important fundraiser, it is also a really fun night out for parents of kids at Bill Roberts.
The Spring Art show features student work in our hallway and gym galleries for a fun family night at school to support the Art Department.
Bill Roberts hosts two popular Scholastic Book Fairs each year in the winter and spring that the kids love!
These fundraisers traditionally raise enough funds to purchase 200-300 new books as well as:
- Promote reading and generate excitement for new books/authors—via book promotions, book talks and more!
- Raise money for the school library to add new books for our collection for our 800+ student readers to support classroom curriculum, as well as scholarships to provide Book Fair credits to students who can’t afford to purchase books.
- Support new literacy initiatives—i.e., e-books, technology subscriptions, magazine orders, etc.
The Bill Roberts PTA hosts two family dances every year: one in the winter and one in spring. These dances are great opportunities for parents and kids to spend time together, while helping to build a stronger school community. Volunteer committee needed to make this happen this year!
Traditionally, the Drama classes participate in a Holiday program, a talent show in the spring and the Denver Public Schools Shakespeare Festival and an evening performance in May.
Field Day is an annual event organized by the PE Department. As part of this fun outside day, kids get a chance to compete in a variety of events including jump rope contests, running races and tug-o-war. More information will be available in the spring!
In the fall, Bill Roberts hosts a 5K and Family Fun Run at school. Hundreds come for the fun each year, with classes and families taking on the run and the costume contest! Thank you to all of our event sponsors and participants! Volunteer committee needed to make this happen this year!
Our FUNdraising Spring Carnival is a family-friendly event that is a much-anticipated night out for everyone! The gym is converted into a carnival with games of chance, games of skill, a dunk tank, cakewalk and much more. Kids have the opportunity to spend time with their classmates and win prizes, all while raising a little money for our school. Volunteer committee needed to make this happen this year!
