Breakfast & Lunch

The cafeteria provides free breakfast and lunch for all students during the 2023-2024 school year.

Breakfast

All students can eat breakfast in the cafeteria beginning at 8:30 am. Students need to be ready to go to class and leave the cafeteria before the first bell at 8:50 a.m.

Lunch

Students can bring a lunch from home or they can receive hot lunch.

All students in DPS will have access to FREE school meals this year thanks to the Healthy School Meals for All Program approved by Colorado voters. While meals will be provided for free to all DPS students, ALL families will still need to complete a form to ensure DPS gets full access to federal funding. Any a la carte items may be purchased with cash or using a student’s MySchoolBucks account.  Adult meals are available for $3.00 for breakfast and $4.50 for lunch.

School Food Pantry

Bill Roberts also offers a School Food Pantry program for families in need to provide supplemental food for the weekends. If you are a family in need of assistance, please contact Rocio Aguayo for more information. Please note that the school staff will take great care in maintaining confidentiality.

Scratch Kitchen

Bill Roberts has a “scratch kitchen” in which DPS cafeteria staff make all meals using raw and whole ingredients right at the school. Our cafeteria avoids pre-prepared, processed foods is an effort to provide students with the best possible nutrition. Every school day, 95% of the lunch menu is prepared from scratch and includes fresh fruits and vegetables.

Did you know?

Foodservice workers at this school are trained in Culinary Arts of Baking, Cooking and Cold Food Preparation. The kitchen staff bakes bread every day, chops fresh produce for entrees and the salad bar, and uses fresh ground beef and chicken for menu items.
