Paying for Your Child’s Lunch

Breakfast

The cafeteria provides free breakfast for all students beginning at 7:20 to 8:00 am.

All students eat breakfast in the cafeteria. Students need to be ready to go to class and leave the cafeteria by first bell at 7:40 a.m.

Meal Prices for DPS Students

A complete Breakfast will be offered free of charge to students during the 2022-2023 school year. 

Lunch prices for students who do not qualify to receive free or reduced price meals are as follows:

Second entrees and any a la carte items may be purchased with cash or using a student’s MySchoolBucks account.  Adult meals are available for $3.00 for breakfast and $4.50 for lunch.

All DPS families are encouraged to complete a school meal application to receive other benefits, including fee waivers, P-EBT, and additional funding for your child’s school.

Meal Charging Policy – Any student who forgets or loses his/her money will be able to receive a lunch. A note will be sent home and you will be emailed via myschoolbucks.com if your child goes into a negative balance. In all cases, the charges MUST be paid back as soon as possible.

School Food Pantry

Bill Roberts also offers a School Food Pantry program for families in need to provide supplemental food for the weekends. If you are a family in need of assistance, please contact the front office at 720-424-2640 or your child’s teacher or Principal Lea for more information. Please note that the school staff will take great care in maintaining confidentiality.

Scratch Kitchen

Bill Roberts has a “scratch kitchen” in which DPS cafeteria staff make all meals using raw and whole ingredients right at the school. Our cafeteria avoids pre-prepared, processed foods is an effort to provide students with the best possible nutrition. Every school day, 95% of the lunch menu is prepared from scratch and includes fresh fruits and vegetables.

Did you know?

Foodservice workers at this school are trained in Culinary Arts of Baking, Cooking and Cold Food Preparation. The kitchen staff bakes bread every day, chops fresh produce for entrees and the salad bar, and uses fresh ground beef and chicken for menu items.
