Bill Roberts also offers a School Food Pantry program for families in need to provide supplemental food for the weekends. If you are a family in need of assistance, please contact Rocio Aguayo for more information. Please note that the school staff will take great care in maintaining confidentiality.
Bill Roberts has a “scratch kitchen” in which DPS cafeteria staff make all meals using raw and whole ingredients right at the school. Our cafeteria avoids pre-prepared, processed foods is an effort to provide students with the best possible nutrition. Every school day, 95% of the lunch menu is prepared from scratch and includes fresh fruits and vegetables.
Foodservice workers at this school are trained in Culinary Arts of Baking, Cooking and Cold Food Preparation. The kitchen staff bakes bread every day, chops fresh produce for entrees and the salad bar, and uses fresh ground beef and chicken for menu items.
