Tours for both Elementary and Middle school are typically offered at different times starting early Fall through about January/February. Please check the School Tours for specific dates or email our volunteer PTA tour committee at schooltoursbillroberts@gmail.com.
Families who live in the Enrollment Zone must complete a School Choice form for all children entering ECE, kindergarten, middle school, and high school. Once your child is in Kindergarten, you do not need to complete another choice form until 5th grade unless you choose to move them from their assigned school for the following year.
Families outside of the Enrollment Zone who wish to choice into a school other than their home school must also complete a Choice Form.
For the 2023-24 school year, Round 1 runs from (around) January 13th through at 10 a.m. till February 16th at 4 p.m. All Round 1 forms are processed through a prioritized lottery. Children who do not receive their first choice of schools will be placed on the waitlist(s) for any school(s) with a higher priority than their school placement. Round 2 runs from Mid-March through September 30th. All Round 2 forms will be added to the waitlist in the order they are received, after all Round 1 waitlisted students. Bill Roberts will pull from the waitlist through September 30th. Beginning October 1st, DPS no longer allows students to change school except in extenuating circumstances. At that time, an Administrative Transfer is required, which begins in the student’s current school.
You can only participate in School Choice online at: https://schoolchoice.dpsk12.org/. The administration does not have any input into school selection as it is handled district-wide by DPS.

Discovery Link – The DPS Afterschool Program is a licensed child care program offered at Bill Roberts to students from Kinder (age 5) through 6th grade (age 14).
Discovery Link operates Monday-Friday with the following program components and hours of operation. Early Risers: 6:30 a.m.-8:50 a.m. After School: School Dismissal-6:00 p.m.
**Dismissal Days/Break Camps: Discovery Link may offer special programming on Denver Public Schools’ dismissal days and extended vacations for an additional fee. Bill Roberts K-8 is ranked 3rd among all elementary, middle and high schools in the Park Hill/Central Park boundary after DSST Conservatory Green Middle School and DSST Stapleton High School on the DPS SPF scorecard.
According to the DPS School Performance Framework, Bill Roberts Middle School is #1 in the Central Park/Park Hill boundary area and #2 in the District.

Our PTA is active in supporting the school with thousands of volunteer hours in the school and planning programming like family dances, a Fun Run, Health and Wellness initiatives, Carnival and other support for throughout the school.
Like the other top-rated DPS schools, the Bill Roberts PTA raises and donates more than $170,000 each year to the school to help support specials like Art, Music, PE, Drama, Dance, Technology, Spanish and staff salaries as needed to keep teacher/student ratios low.

Bill Roberts encourages parent participation and many parents volunteer their time in the classroom, library, office and lunchroom, as well as for the many PTA-organized programs that make our school a great community.
Classroom volunteering can include room parent, reading or math assistance, field trip chaperone, etc. Please check with the teacher for the many volunteer opportunities available.
The PTA has a range of fun volunteer opportunities, too, that are a great way to be involved in your child’s school.

To check bus eligibility, click the Parent Portal Log-In button below to check the Transportation page within the Parent Portal to see if route information (stop location, route number and arrival/pick-up time) is present.
Most questions about getting your child signed up for the bus can be answered by calling this number: 720-423-4600.
If route information is present in the Parent Portal, your student is eligible. If no route information is present, please email transportation@dpsk12.org and include the student’s ID number.
